Ever get that nagging feeling that you've forgotten something? Yes, I forgot to send out the PatternGram last Friday. Either none of you noticed, or you're just too polite to say anything. In any case, I'll try not to slip up again.
You may remember the Baa-ble Hat which was a previous PatternGram (unfortunately no longer a freebie), which I have on my wish list for this winter. Well I couldn't resist this matching cowl. Any worsted weight in the right colours will do, but my choice is the Diamond Luxury Tradition. Super soft and superwash, so you won't have to worry about it getting shrunk in the wash if you give it away as a gift.
The weather lately has been a little wonky to say the least, and I've been having trouble deciding what to wear. When I leave the house in the morning, there's frost on the car, and by noon it's 24 degrees. The solution is this cozy shawl that I can take with me when the temperature takes an unexpected dip. It's knit with a DK weight yarn and would look great in a super cozy yarn like the Drops Puna, which is 100% alpaca, or the Concept Cashmere 30 from Katia.
This is a very simple throw, worked entirely in Garter Stitch. The blanket stitch detail around the edges and bold colours make this a classic throw.
The Team Canada Blanket is knit using Unwind Yarn House's own Timothy Street Superwash Merino. Super warm and cozy, with great drape, perfect for cuddling up on cooler evenings in front of the TV.
This soft and flowing cardigan is just what the cooler weather calls for. It's knit with DROPS Alpaca Boucle, which is a very cozy wool and alpaca blend. The Ballade is worked back and forth on circular needles to make room for the stitches.
