We have a couple of spots open for tomorrow night's Thrum Mitt class. Give me a call if you want in! I just got in a whole new shipment of Thrum Kits--they're gorgeous! The class runs for the next 3 Friday nights, from 7-9pm with our own thrum mitten queen, Moira! $75 includes a unique hand dyed thrum kit.
A beautiful new kit from Perl Grey (aka Fleece Artist's sister) is the Ana Bandana. Here it is...so cute. Only $27.

And a new addition to the shelves....Araucania's AZAPA! This beautiful chunky tweed is a soft mix of alpaca, silk and merino. It's ice creamy delicious.

And finally, a big shout out to all the Unwinders who have been so gracious and so generous and donated their valuable time to knit a square of the Lizard Ridge Blanket we're auctioning off in a couple of weeks. You are all the most amazing people. I can't thank you enough! Thank you, thank you!
Don't forget, the Santa Clause Parade is this weekend! Come by the store for some samples of Heather's organic fair trade coffee from Cameron's Coffee.
See you soon, Wendy

Hi Unwinders!
So, I put a whole bunch of new Mission Falls wool out today. It's made me so happy. Look at all the colour. Nothing makes me happier than a wall full of wool. Practically nothing anyway.
Here's my view this afternoon...this angle kinda makes me dizzy.

Hope to see you soon...
Wendy
PS > We have had an overwhelming response to our knitted lizard ridge blanket project. So much so that I think--with a little push--we could get TWO BLANKETS knit in time for the event! We are super stars. Thank you. Oh my, thank-you.
So if you're feeling like you could knit a square--or another square, for that matter--let's GO!! Put your fingers to the test! We need all squares submitted by Nov 14th. If you're new to this idea, here's the pattern. Check it out and let me know if you can swing it. The wool's on me, so come in and grab a ball.
Also, if you have anything else you'd like to donate for the silent auction, please let me know! I've already been approached by a few of you willing to donate other crafties, time, etc. Unwinders are such wonderful people. (someone left me a beautiful scarf--but no name!! Thank-you thank-you! Whoever you are....)
One more point about the fund raiser. We need to raise MONEY!! If you'd like to buy tickets for the event, you can pick them up here at the store. The event is happening on Friday Nov 28th at the St John's Chrysostom church hall (official ticket pdf to follow soon). Tickets are $25 each and include appetizers, door prizes, live music, etc. It's going to be a blast! If you aren't able to make it, you can buy tickets! : )
We have shifted the fund raising focus a little bit. Our event is called "Neighbours Helping Neighbours" and in addition to helping a family who's going through a lot, we will be donating money to a local charity. This is the first annual Neighbour Helping Neighbours event. It's very exciting.
And just because they're cute, and I have nothing else to tell you, here are pictures of my kiddes. Sacha as a scary pirate and Jill playing with mom's phone. Oops, picture taken.
