So...2010, eh? are we calling the next few years the 20-tweens? I'm confused...again

Well, another year is behind us.  Again.  Kids are a few inches taller, my waist is a few inches wider (Too many christmas puddings, if you know what I mean).

But while I try to slim down, I'm trying to fatten up the store!

Our Boxing Week sale was a great success and I'm ordering yarn like crazy to fill 'er up again!  Spring yarn will be arriving soon, but in the meatime I got in some great new colours in some old favourites...

I just love the softness of the new colours from Mission Falls Cotton.  Keeping Unwind's Canadian ties strong, we'll be seeing a lot of this yarn...purdy.

And look at the 'wow factor' in the new baby bamboo colours!  Their future's so bright, I gotta wear shades. (youch...the new email format has really made me feel cheesy--sorry dudes.)

We're fully restocked in Kureyon....some neato new colours here too!

And we put together a great sample using Americo's newest yarn, Winter Flame.  It's a 100% alpaca, thick and thin in the most amazing, non-traditional colours we've come to expect from Nicole and her team.  Just awesome....

This pattern is called Just Enough Ruffles, by the endlessly talented Laura Chau of Lettuce Knit.  You can download her pattern here.

Two balls held together makes this....

And look at this neat thing we did with some wool....(like, whatelse would we do something neat with? sheesh.)

It's got one big sleeve on one side....

...then you take the long end and swoop it over your shoulder!  Come ca!  We did this out of the luxurious worsted weight alpaca from Americo--it's warm and comfortable.

Well Unwinders, I'll end it here.  I'm very excited to send this out and see how it works!  Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Especially those that confirm my world view ; )
