You know the basics, now it's time to learn to knit in-the-round! Learn to make your first hat.

This is an excellent follow-up to our learn to knit class.

Over the course of this two night class, you will complete the Keep Me Warm Hat. This classic hat would make a great gift!

You will learn: 

  • How to knit in the round, including how to join your yarn without twisting;
  • How to change colours;
  • Basic decreases;
  • And weaving in ends.

Dates: Wednesday, November 8 and 22 (takes place over two nights)

Time: 7-9 PM

Instructor: Cathy Scheepers

Prerequisite skills: Knit and purl

Price: $75, includes copy of the pattern by Anne Gagnon. Does not include materials listed below.

Materials: 219 yards of worsted weight yarn (we used one skein each of Estelle Worsted in Silver/Steel Ragg, Ecru and Merlot), 4mm circular needle 16”/40cm long, 4.5mm circular needle 16”/40cm long and 4.5mm double-pointed needles, one stitch marker and a tapestry needle.
