Create your own beautiful Pressed Flowers Shawl while learning a new knitting technique - mosaic knitting!
Mosaic knitting is a colourwork technique where the patterns are created by slipping stitches from the previous row without working them. It’s the perfect way to try colourwork for the first time. As an added bonus you will leave the class with a stunning shawl.
Skills learned: mosaic knitting, provisional cast on, reading charts
Dates: Wednesday, March 8, 22 and April 5 (three nights)
Time: 7-9 PM
Instructor: Cathy Scheepers
Prerequisite skills: Knit, purl, increases and decreases
Materials: Please bring or purchase DK weight yarn (548 yards of your main colour and 448 yards of the contrast colour - we used Malabrigo Arroyo in Coffee Toffee and Neverland colourways), 4mm 32" circular needles, waste yarn for provisional cast on, 2 stitch markers, and a tapestry needle.
