Quantity: 4

Cables look like raised columns twisting around each other, criss-crossing, or meandering across knitted fabric.

Learn from Wendy, pictured in the blue sweater. She is a true cable guru! (She is pictured here wearing Sellino Pullover by Irina Anikeeva.)

In this class, you will learn: how to create cables, how to read charts to avoid having to refer to the key/legend, and how to read your cabled knitting. Wendy has lots of helpful tips for beginners.

Date: Saturday, March 14 from 11 AM - 1 PM

Instructor: Wendy H.

Prerequisite skills: You must already know how to knit and purl

Materials: We will provide Oceanborn Headband by Audrey Borrego. Please bring or plan to purchase 115 meters light worsted weight or heavy DK (Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino, Estelle Worsted one ball or 2 balls Double Sunday), 4mm (gauge isn’t critical but for a heavier worsted 4.5mm), Cable Needle, and a Magnetic Board (or preferred chart management method).

Homework:
Complete the Cast on and set-up row page 4 of pattern
(The pattern suggests a German Twisted Cast On but a provisional cast would allow for three needle bind off to avoid sewing)

The Fine Print:
