Make this sweet gender-neutral crochet baby sweater: Cupcake Sweater by Mon Petit Violon.
We love this pattern because it is gender-neutral, so it can be made for any wee one! It is almost seamless, with just tiny seams on the shoulders and front collar.
If you haven't tried making a crocheted sweater yet, this would be great way to learn!
You will learn: how work on a sweater from the bottom up, how to work seamlessly, how to read a pattern

Materials*:
- Check the pattern page here to choose the size of sweater you are making and the yardage required.
- Fingering or sport weight yarn in the amount for your sweater size. Note: the pattern says sport weight, we used fingering weight - Sandnes Sunday - and still achieved gauge. We also recommend Drops Baby Merino, which is sport weight.
- 3.5 to 4mm crochet hook, depending on your gauge. (See below for gauge homework!)
- A tapestry needle
*Students receive 10% off in-store purchases on class materials.
Homework:
Please check the gauge before you start! Bring your gauge swatch to the first class. 20 sts and 10 rows in double crochet (dc) to measure 10x10cm or 4x4in using 4mm hook, or size required to obtain the gauge.
