Exploring Machine Knitting

Own a knitting machine—or thinking about getting one? 

Join us for a relaxed, hands-on class focused on understanding, using, and enjoying machine knitting. This is the first session in what we hope will be a once a month offering.

A knitting machine is set up for live demonstrations, and participants are encouraged to ask questions and request specific techniques to see in action.

Whether you’re brand new, dusting off a long-ignored machine, or looking to expand your skills, these sessions are designed to meet you where you are.

Prerequisites: You don't need to own a knitting machine required to attend.

Who can attend:

• People who already own a machine
• Anyone thinking about purchasing a machine
• People curious about how machine knitting works
• Anyone who wants to knit faster, differently, or more efficiently

You will:

• Understand how different knitting machines work
• Feel confident choosing yarns for machine knitting
• Learn how to adapt patterns and techniques
• Know what questions to ask before buying a machine
• Gain practical knowledge to apply immediately at home

Date: Saturday, May 23 from 11 AM - 1 PM.

• If you own a machine: photos, manuals, or notes (bringing machines optional )
• Notebook or phone for notes

The Fine Print:

• Students receive 10% off in-store for class materials. Let us know at the cash, if your purchase is for a class.
• This class is for adults. Please see here for Youth Classes.
• 48 hours notice is required for rescheduling or cancellation, otherwise a 25% cancellation fee is applied.
