A bouncy merino from local dyer, Fergus Yarn Co.
About the Together We Bloom colourway:
This fundraising colourway supports the Newmarket African Caribbean Canadian Association's Scholarship Fund. We ask a variety of local indie dyers to interpret Kimothy Joy's Together We Bloom print. What fascinates me, is that when presented with the same print, each dyer has a vastly different interpretation.
This stunning custom colour was developed by Andrea from Fergus Yarn Co. for Unwind Yarn House. The colour starts with a warm cream base, with speckles and splashes of violet, burnt orange and pops of an almost iridescent chartreuse. It is a little wild, just like Andrea.
Proceeds from the sale of this exclusive colourway are donated to the Newmarket African Caribbean Canadian Association (NACCA) scholarship awards. This is one small step towards an equitable future, or as the NACCA eloquently puts it, "to create limitless pathways for youth leadership, empowerment and advancement."
In a time of division, Unwind and Fergus Yarn Co. are all in for raising up
