Fino is a sumptuous blend of merino, cashmere, and silk. The sheen of silk and the softness and warmth of cashmere combine with merino wool to produce a beautifully balanced yarn that is strong enough for garments, with an effortlessly elegant drape in shawls and scarves.
Hand-dyed and spun in Canada, it comes in a beautifully rich palette of subtle jewel tones and neutrals, alongside refined and unique speckles. Julie is known for her exquisite colour sense and impeccable bases, and Fino is a perfect showcase of both.
We're thinking of making To the Sea Shawlette by Kelene Kinnersly or Cashmere Crown by Denise Bayron.
If you are making garments, Karen recommends alternating skeins as Fino is hand-dyed. Having said that, our team members Beckie and Allana do not alternate skeins and are happy with the results.
