Holst Garn Coast is a 2-ply yarn, mixed by 55% Merino Lambswool and 45% Cotton.

Holst Coast is a fingering weight cotton and wool blend. It has the softness of cotton with the memory and resilience of wool.

Knit it single stranded for a fingering weight garment, or hold it double stranded for a gauge of about 22sts/4".

You can also hold this yarn double to create a worsted/dk weight yarn.

Sandra and Aileen both held it single to make A Hint of Summer - Sandra's is here and Aileen's is here. Karen held it double to make Jessie's Mae's Northwoods V

For shawl knitters there is Lake Constance by Trin-Annelie. Pescadero Waves is a FREE baby blanket pattern by Heather Linebarger.

Note: Holst Garn Coast contains a bit of spinning oil and excess dye. The oil and excess dye will disappear at the first wash - and the yarn will bloom and become extremely soft. This is a case where machine washing on delicate is recommended over soaking it to block. We also recommend the use of colour catchers, if you are striping the yarn.
