Learn stranded knitting techniques while knitting a beautiful cowl. In this beginner colourwork class, you will learn how to work with two strands of yarn, how to carry floats, and how to tension your colourwork projects. All that's required to take this class is a knowledge of knit, purl, and knitting in the round.

Skills learned: how to work with two strands of yarn, how to carry floats, and how to tension your colourwork projects

Dates: Tuesday, February 3 and 17

Time: 7 - 9 PM

Prerequisite skills: Students MUST know how to knit and purl in the round. 

Materials: Please bring or plan to purchase two contrasting colours of bulky weight yarn - the pattern is designed for and we used Malabrigo Vientos. Plus the following tools: 5.5 and 6mm 16" circular needles, one stitch marker, and a tapestry needle. We will provide the pattern, Arcade Cowl by Kristel Nieves.

Materials: Three mini skeins (20g fingering weight yarn) in colours of your choice, 2.25 mm and 3 mm needles for working small circumference in the round
