Get ready to learn the how and why of German Short Rows! 

Show rows help to create shaping for necklines, hems, bust darts, toys and more! 

In this technique class with Wendy H., you will learn the purpose of short rows, how you can use them to add fabric for other body adjustments (bust, hunch backs etc), what to look for when shopping for patterns, how to adjust your pattern, where to place short rows and, of course, how to make them.

Date: Saturday, March 7 from 11 AM - 1 PM

Instructor: Wendy H.

Prerequisite skills: you must have an understanding of the basics of knitting

Materials: Please bring or plan to purchase approximately 25g of Worsted or DK weight yarn and the appropriate needle 4mm or 4.5mm, and 3 stitch markers.

Homework:
 
Cast on 60 stitches (any method)
Place centre marker (between stitches 30 and 31)
The second and third marker 6 stitches on either side of centre
(Between stitch 24 and 25 and between stitch 36 and 37)
Knit 4 rows of 1x1 rib
