Get ready to learn two techniques in one workshop!

A Mug Cosy is the perfect small fairisle knit to learn stranded knitting and steeking. Steeks are when you intentionally cut your knitting to create an opening.

If you are ready for the thrill (and terror) of cutting your beautiful stitches, this workshop is for you! We will make Steek This Coffee Cozy by Rachel Molenaar.

Skills learned: stranded knitting, steeking AKA cutting your knitting!

Dates: Wednesday Oct 29 and November 12 from 7 - 9 PM

Instructor:  Wendy D.

Prerequisite skills: Advanced beginner - you must know how to knit and purl in the round.

Materials: You will need small amounts of a non-superwash worsted weight yarn - we recommend Haynes Creek Heathers Aran - approximately 40m of your main colour, plus 10-12m each of four colours. We will have assorted bits and bobs available for your use, however if you have specific colours in mind, please being or plan to purchase the yarn.

Plus you will need the following tools: 3.75 mm needles (DPNs or circs), F/3.75 mm crochet hook, sharp scissors, stitch markers, a tapestry needle and three 1⁄2” buttons

*Students receive 10% off on class materials and in-store purchases on the day of their class
