Beginner Brioche - Tuesday March 3 from 6:30 - 9 PM

Learn the basics of brioche knitting!

In this class you will create a lush and bouncy 2-colour fabric that is reversible.

You can use this technique to create stunning shawls, sweaters, hats and of course cowls.

Skills learned: brioche foundation rows, two colour brioche, Italian cast on and bind off

Date: Tuesday, March 3 from 6:30 - 9 PM

Time: 6:30 - 9 PM (Generally our classes are 2 hours long, but this one is 2.5 hours to give you time to master both the two colour Italian cast-on and brioche!)

Prerequisite skills: Must know how to knit and purl

Materials: not included: Two skeins of smooth worsted weight yarn with high contrast colours, 4mm circular needles 16"/40cm in length

(By smooth yarn, we mean a plied yarn preferably superwash wool or acrylic. We used Malabrigo Rios for our store sample. We love rustic yarn, but its stickiness will make two-colour brioche more challenging. Let me know if you are unsure if your yarn is suitable.)
